Home Care That Fits Around Their Life

Visiting home care from 30-minute medication checks to multiple daily visits. Personalised to their routine. Delivered by consistent, familiar carers who know your parent by name.

Small Visits, Big Difference

A 30-minute visit at breakfast to help Mum wash, take her medication, and have a proper conversation over tea. An evening visit to make sure Dad’s eaten and is safely settled for the night. Sometimes that’s all it takes to keep someone independent at home for years longer than anyone thought possible.

Home care visits are flexible and personalised. From one short visit a week to four visits a day, our Cambridge, South Essex, Gateshead, Suffolk, Redbridge and Nottingham teams deliver care that works around your parent’s routine — not the other way around.

What Home Care Visits Cover

Every care plan is bespoke, but these are the situations we support every day.

🚦

Personal care

Washing, dressing, toileting, continence care, skin care. Delivered with dignity, at their pace, respecting privacy. Our carers are specifically trained in manual handling and safeguarding.

💉

Medication support

Prompting, administering, and recording medication — from dosette boxes to complex multi-medication regimens. Liaison with GPs and pharmacies. Clear audit trail for family members.

🍽

Meal preparation

Preparing familiar meals your parent actually wants to eat. Sitting and eating together when helpful. Monitoring weight and nutrition quietly. We work with dietary requirements, swallowing difficulties, and cultural preferences.

🤝

Companionship & conversation

Not an afterthought — a core part of every visit. Proper conversation, noticing changes, catching problems early. For isolated clients, this is often the single most valuable part of care.

🏡

Light household support

Laundry, bed-changing, light tidying, shopping runs, bin day. The small practical things that matter for dignity and safety. We don’t do heavy cleaning or gardening — that’s not the focus.

🏥

Post-hospital recovery

Intensive daily support after a fall, surgery, or illness — reducing hours as your parent regains independence. We liaise with district nurses, GPs, and rehabilitation teams to ensure continuity.

How Home Care Works

1

Flexible visit structure

Visits from 30 minutes upwards. One visit a week or up to four a day. Morning routine, lunch, afternoon, evening settle-in — whatever fits. Hours can change as needs change.

2

A small consistent team

Your parent has 2–3 regular carers, not a rotating roster. Chemistry and continuity matter — they know the routines, the preferences, the little things that make care feel human.

3

Written care plan, reviewed regularly

Detailed care plan agreed at the initial assessment, reviewed every quarter or sooner if needs change. Family members have direct access to a named Care Coordinator.

4

Transparent, written pricing

Fixed hourly rate explained up front. No weekend surcharges. No mileage charges. No "we’ll let you know" invoices. Every change requires your approval.

Home Care Questions

What’s the minimum visit length?

30 minutes. Shorter visits often feel rushed and don’t allow for proper care. For quick medication checks combined with a brief welfare conversation, 30 minutes is usually the sweet spot.

Can care visits change over time?

Absolutely — and they usually do. Many clients start with one visit a day and increase as needs grow. Others start high after hospital discharge and reduce as they recover. We review care plans quarterly, or sooner if anything changes.

Will my parent see the same carer each visit?

As much as possible. We build a small team of 2–3 regular carers who cover your visits. Complete single-carer coverage is rarely possible (holidays, sickness, time-off) but continuity is a non-negotiable principle.

How quickly can visits start?

Urgent cases (hospital discharge, carer breakdown): within 24–48 hours. Planned starts: typically 3–7 days of the initial call to allow time for proper assessment and carer matching.

What if we want to stop or reduce care?

Reasonable notice (typically 7–14 days) is all we ask. No long contracts, no exit fees. We also hold the care package open without charge if your parent goes into hospital.

Do you cover weekends and bank holidays?

Yes — 7 days a week. No surcharge for weekends. Bank holidays and Christmas/Easter carry a modest premium to cover staffing, explained clearly in your quote.
